How to apply for ICF Credential Renew?​

After obtaining your ACC, PCC, or MCC credentials, it’s important to note that they are not permanent. Renewal is required every three years.

Fortunately, the renewal process is fairly simple, and NLP Limited offers numerous resources to assist you in completing it.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that ICF has made some adjustments to renewal deadlines in light of the COVID-19 crisis.

What’s required for ICF Credential Renew ACC?

To renew your ACC credential, you must meet the following requirements.:

  1. Submit the online credential renewal application along with the necessary documentation. Access your renewal application by logging into your ICF online profile and selecting “Edit Profile.” Look for your credential renewal application link under the “My Credentials” section.
  2. Complete at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching for at least three months. These hours should be completed within the three years since you initially received your credential or since your last renewal.
  3. Engage in a minimum of 40 hours of Continuing Coach Education (CCE) within three years since receiving your credential or your last renewal. Among these hours:
  • At least 24 hours must be dedicated to Core Competencies.
  • A minimum of three hours must focus specifically on coaching ethics. You can fulfill this requirement by completing the free online course ICF offers.
  • The 10 hours of Mentor Coaching can be counted towards the Core Competencies CCE hours.
  • The remaining hours can be allocated to Resource Development.

 

Please note: If your Mentor Coach holds an ACC Credential, they must have completed an entire three-year cycle of their ACC Credential with renewal.

Any Mentor Coaching for ACC renewal conducted on or after August 1, 2018, must be provided by a coach who holds an MCC, PCC, or ACC credential and has completed at least one entire cycle with renewal.
